To summarize the above paragraph in a few words: I'm glad to be back.
I dunno, there just came a time where I felt like my parents were resembling Marie and Frank Barone a tad too much. (Mind you, the resemblance is striking 24/7, but after an exaggeratedly calm trip to a cabin in Hovden where there was extremely little to do you get more than spoonfed. It's fun, but only to a certain extent.)
And lo and behold, the fire alarm. Here's to first days of school! I wonder who burnt fish sticks this time... :-P
(Approx. 20 mins. later) Some heartfelt sympathy to the poor guy who caused it. :-( He came up to some people beside me and asked nervously: "Um, do you know the number of the janitor?" Must have been embarassing for him. Good thing it wasn't freezing cold this time (on the contrary); got him saved from some sour looks in his direction... Poor guy...
Anyway, I reckon that this year will pose a bit more of a challenge both for my friends as well as myself. Most of us have started taking units in our "minor" subjects, most of which are languages, i.e. Italian, Spanish and German grammar and syntax, perhaps also French grammar, though I'm not entirely sure. (And the crowd goes wild.) Oh yes, languages galore. However... *bursts out in song* We shall overcoooooome, we shall overcoooooome, we shall overcooooome soooooomedaaaaaaaaaay... (etc., etc.) No, really.
Oh, and here's a question I've been wondering about today (which is also posted on Facebook):
- How much wood would a woodchuck chuck (if a woodchuck could chuck wood)?
- Can a canner can a can? (The obvious answer would probably be: "If the to-be-canned can is considerably smaller than the can used to can the to-be-canned can, then yes." Simple logic, unlike the previous question.)
I'm open to suggestions.
Waking up and smelling the coffee,
Elise

'Elleuuu..!! =D
Heu are yeu? =)
Have you managed to get into the rythem of studies and school-life again yet? =)
I'm actually at school right now (oh yeah, school all weekend long... *ihah!*), and wanted to check up and see what's happening over at Blindern..
I'm hoping I'll get my paycheck now next week, so perhaps a little get-together with some raw fish would be possible?? =P
Take care, and say 'hiiiiiii!!' to any familiar faces for me.. =)
Yo, yo, yo, Eva's in da house! Wazzaaaaaaaaaaaah?! Nice to hear from you again! Hope you're doing fine at school as well and that you're enjoying yourself! Heck, I'm sure you are; it's YOU we're talking about! ;-) Which courses are you taking? Oh, and are you still living in the same flat as before? Heard some rumors that you'd moved, you see... Would be nice to get that cleared up...
I'm doing just fine at the moment; I think I can say this on behalf of the other people at school as well. I reckon most of the others are busy themselves with getting the hang of attending classes and studying.
Oooh, raw fish! Yuuuuummyyyyy! :-D Hehe, you just tell me whenever you wish to grab some sushi and I'm game! :-D (Well, at least I hope I'm game; I'm having my first exam on October 12 (!), so I might not be as game as I think I'll be... :-S But just tell me when you've decided when and I'll see what I can do.)
And yes, I'll say "hiiiiiiii!!!" from you to any familiar faces I bump into at uni. ;-)
Take care yourself and have fun! :-D Oh, and regards to Alyssa as well! :-)
Whazzaaaaaaaph!! Or something.. =P Um, yeah.. I don't quite have the hang of the "ghetto" side of me.. =P *laughs*
I'm taking "grunnfag enhetsmedisin" this first year, and then I'll have to see what I choose afterwards.. This first year includes among other things the more alternative views on medicine, and the school version of medicine and introduction to the human body, as well as light introductions to the different courses we can go after this year.. =)
Yes, I'm still in the same flat, but not for long.. Me and Alyssa have already delivered the notification on that we'll move from this flat by the end of october, and Alyssa has started moving into her new flat now this weekend, while I'm still just looking.. =P It's about time I get serious with my searching though.. =)
*laughs* I'll let you know when I feel rich and have a bit of spare time all at once, and we'll see if we can perhaps persuade Sara to join in as well for a bit of sushi.. =D
Hm, that "grunnfag enhetsmedisin" sounds actually quite interesting! :-D Kinda like "regular" med. school medicine and then some. Fancy! How long does it take for you to complete school, then? 3 years? Probably depends on what you'll be majoring in (haha, almost wrote "measuring" instead of "majoring"! Haha! Funny. NOT. Anyway, where was I?) Is there any working involved? Do you have an option of having some practice as well? Heh, feel like a complete bonehead when it comes to this stuff... ;-)
Hm, the grapevine was correct, then... Actually it was Sara who told me this, but I just wanted to hear it straight from the horses mouth. (Not that you are a horse, mind you - let alone any other animal than a human.)Do you mind me asking the reason for this change of apartments? If you don't want to answer this question here (or at all) you don't have to. I'm just wondering, that's all.
Haha, great! Yeah, of course we have to invite Sara! :-D I kinda miss our conversations together... *sentimental sigh, followed by dreamy piano music and reminiscing about the "old days"*
Yeah, it's really interesting.. =D The school medicine part is mainly learning about the human body and how it functions, while the more alternative is discussions about what a 'holistic' view is and introduction to things such as placing diagnosis on people by mapping out how their iris/retina look, and learning ear-acupuncture, etc.. =) So far I just love it..! Especially as everyone else there is just as facinated by and interested in the stuff as I am.. =D
As for how long, it's this introduction year first, and then 4 years in whatever direction I wish to study.. =) After all, this is part-time school, so it takes longer than normal full-time school, which would have only taken about 3 years..
There will be lots of practice with patient-therapist relations and more individual work as we go along.. =) And of course, the Shiatsu-course will have lots of massage-practise, the veteropathy-course will have lots of practise with animals, the acupuncture-course will have lots of practice with stabbing with needles, and so on.. ;-)
And I don't mind the questions.. =)
Yes, an honest grapevine.. *grins*
*laughs* Even if you were to compare me to some kind of animal I wouldn't really be all that offended.. Actually, depending on the animal of course, I think I'd rather be happy about it.. =D Hehe..
The reason as for the change in appartments is that my room-mate wants to try out living alone - but still with me somewhat close by just in case - before she moves to England next year (providing she gets accepted into the school there she wants to apply to, which I have no doubt that she will).. =) So, it's sort of a bit of training for her.. Besides, we're a bit sick of this old appartment, and I must admit that I miss having a place of my own as well.. =) So, nothing bad.. ;-)
We'll have to have Sushi then, and reminisce about our time together, and get updated on the latest gossip! *laughs*
*looks nervously around* The kitten has left the sandbox, I repeat, the kitten has left the sandbox. You may now release the cucumber man, release the cucumber man.
Um, first "Charlotte Poked her Boyfriend" (Charlotte Perkins Gilman) and now this? It is now officially confirmed - Sara has completely lost it.
*ROLLS AROUND ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING OUT LOUD*
