Lazy day at home...

Finally gotten further than ch. 1 of "Wuthering Heights", my new book challenge. Just didn't feel like doing anything uni-related today (besides making the final touches on the last Mandatory Assignment due tomorrow), so I read something I really wanted to read today. Not implying at all that reading curriculum-related material isn't fun at all, mind you. But reading novels is something I haven't had much time to do lately. Have gotten as far as ch. 4 on it, for those of you who have read it, so things are just getting a tad exciting at the moment. Lots of questions remain unanswered as of yet. Haunted estate, grumpy landlord/master suffering from heartbreak (or so it seems at the moment), almost equally grumpy servants, strange dreams, strange books... There's nothing like letting yourself get lost in a book!

Here's by the way the song that inspired me to read it. It's from the 70's (1978?) featuring Kate Bush. It may seem kinda strange at first (the first time I heard it I was reminded of Chinese pop!), but once you get used to the slightly experimental touches, it's quite haunting indeed.

I don't know. I just like it.

Feeling guilty for not reading anything uni-related. I should prepare myself for tomorrow's Phonetics session. *sigh* Enough "Wuthering Heights" for a short while.

I love that Kate Bush song, in fact it is one of my absolute favourites of her. I love her voice, but then I am a sucker for voices that are out of the ordianry. Totally mainstream is nothing for me. Give me "special" and I am sold, I'm telling you!

Have you heard Ken and Love and anger by her? They're from a single. Fantastic!

Hope you are well, and better than me. I will explain. Or if read my last two posts I think you will undersatnd what I've done. It is kinda killing me slowly. But as long as I don't die properly, that's ok...

And, you don't ahve to study all the time. It is vital to allow yourself some free time. Then when you do study, you are more perky and alert.

Have a good and fruitful weekend

Hmm.. I read that book back when I was 12 or so, so I can't quite remember it too well, but I think Kate Bush's song is facinating.. :)

Eilen: Heh, yeah, that's one of my favorite songs. It's so haunting it's almost scary! Will check out the other songs you mentioned! Thanks! No, I'm not studying all the time, mind you! I'm just reading this for my own pleasure, that's all. I've got a feeling that this book is one of those gripping ones...

Lastly, don't let it get to ya!!! (I.e. don't even think of going all suicidal!!! Which I don't think you are anyway, but still! You're such a good friend and I'd like it to stay that way! :D) Just to clarify, I haven't read your latest posts yet.

Eva: Kate Bush's voice is fascinating indeed. It's unique, and all that's unique is nice to me. Well, almost all things unique.

Hugs to you both! Have a great weekend! :D
